I love the superhero game Heroclix. Like most of us who play the game, I also enjoy the comic books upon which the characters of the game are based.

So I've created a number of campaigns designed to simulate storylines with a traditional comic book feel to them. I'll be gradually posting the several dozen I've got ready over the next few weeks. After that, whenever I get around to creating a new campaign, I'll add that as well.

For the most part, the campaigns will be divided up into Marvel, DC and Mixed Universe. There will be a few single scenario entries as well.

If I can figure out how to manage it, I'd like to allow other Heroclix fans to post their own campaign/scenario creations here as well.

Supermodels, Inc.

Supermodels, Inc.—the world’s foremost superpowered detective agency. Yes, all their agents just happen (by the purest coincidence) to be really hot women. But that’s beside the point. The point is that they can kick bad guy butt with the best of them.  The really hot women thing is definitely beside the point. Really. It is.

This campaign is for two players. One player, referred to as the Hero, will control the Supermodels, Inc. operatives. The other player, known as the Villain, will control the various bad guys that do battle with Supermodels, Inc.

TEAMS:

The Hero has picks one specific version of the following characters (all women who have a modeling or acting background in regular comics continuity):

Invisible Girl

Jean Grey

Starfire

Wasp

She-Hulk

Fire

Ice

Hellcat

Jade

Vixen

Elasti-Girl

Dazzler

Psylocke

Mary Jane Watson

“The Bosley”: In addition, the Hero chooses one male character to be on the team. He chooses ONE of the following characters: Captain America, Spider Man, Hellboy, Abesabien, Speedy (Roy Harper-version), Dick Grayson (as either Robin or Nightwing), Blue Beetle (Ted Kord version), Booster Gold, Cyclops, Howard the Duck, Hawkeye.

For each scenario, the Hero builds his team from his available character. He MUST include the “Bosley” on each team. He may not, though, use the exact same team every time. He must always change out at least one character.  For Scenarios #2 and #3, he must each time use a character he hasn’t used yet.

Keywords: All members of Supermodels, Inc (including the “Bosley”) get “Supermodels, Inc” as a non-generic keyword.

The Villain’s available teams will be listed in each scenario.

All teams in this scenario are 500 points.

SCENARIO LENGTH: All Scenarios last 12 rounds.

VICTORY: Keep a running total of victory points throughout the campaign.

FEAT CARDS: Neither player may use ICWO or Lazarus Pit. Otherwise, feat cards may be normally assigned according to the regular rules.

“I BROKE A NAIL!!!” When a female character rolls a critical miss, she is given an additional action token as well as taking the regular damage. If the character is already being given a second action token normally, then she takes an extra click of unavoidable, penetrating damage.

SCENARIO #1: THE CASE OF THE MALICIOUS MAKE-UP

Hydra’s latest scheme for world domination involves the manufacture and marketing of a beauty cream that puts anyone who uses it into a hypnotic trance. Once the women of the world are thus under Hydra’s control, the men will fall easily enough.

Only Supermodels, Inc. can put a stop to this evil scheme.

TEAMS: The Hero builds his team from his pool of available characters. The Villain must use Madame Hydra/Viper. He may use Silver Samurai and any number of Hydra generics of all types. He may use any number of Dreadnaughts. He may use up to 5 Hand Ninjas (either the old or new version.) The newer version of the Hand Ninja is given the Hydra keyword for this scenario.

MAP: Use the Chemical Factory map.

SET-UP: Roll for first player and set up normally.

VICTORY: Calculate victory points normally.

SCENARIO #2: THE CASE OF THE EVIL SUPERMODELS

Catwoman’s latest scheme is to stage a fashion show as a cover while she and her fellow “models” rob the surrounding stores.

Only Supermodels, Inc. can stop their evil counterparts.

TEAMS: The Hero builds his team from his regular pool. Remember that he must use at least one character from his pool that he did NOT use in the first scenario.

The Villain must use any one version of Catwoman. The rest of her team consists of female supervillains only. If she’s female and a bad guy, then she qualifies. (If players disagree about whether a particular character qualifies as a bad guy, then the dispute can be resolved via a dice roll.)

EXCEPTIONS: The Villain may not use Madame Hydra/Viper or Enchantress, as they are already booked for other scenarios in this campaign.

THE EVIL “BOSLEY”: If the Villain chooses, he may include one male character on his team. He may choose from the following options: Blob, Omega Red, Sandman, Toad, Two-Face, Joker, Mr. Freeze or the Mad Hatter.

The Villain’s characters all get “Evil Models” as a non-generic keyword.

MAP: Use the Shopping Mall map.

SET-UP: Roll for first player and set up normally.

VICTORY: Calculate victory points normally.

SCENARIO #3: THE CASE OF THE FELONIOUS FASHIONS

Enchantress was left off People Magazine’s Hottest Supervillains list and she’s ticked off.

Her scheme to revenge herself on those puny humans who dare to consider themselves more attractive than her is to start a fashion design company. But the clothes she designs have a magical property—they transform the women who wear them into HIDEOUS ROCK TROLLS UNDER ENCHANTRESS’ CONTROL!!!!!

Only Supermodels, Inc. can put a stop to this mad plan!!!!

TEAMS: The Hero once again builds his team from his available pool. If he has any characters he hasn’t used yet, he must include at least one of them on the team this time.

The Villain uses Enchantress and at least three Rock Trolls. She’s recruited Ulik to help her (who is always in favor of making more trolls), so any version of him may be included.

The Villain may also use Executioner. Enchantress has also seduced away some Asgardian Warriors from their regular duties, so any number of them may be included.

All the Villain’s potential characters have the Asgardian keyword, so no special keyword is needed.

MAP: Enchantress has set up housekeeping in a swanky mansion. Use the Mansion map from the old Indoor Adventures kit.

SET-UP: Roll for first player and set up normally.

VICTORY: Calculate Victory Points normally.

FINAL VICTORY: If Supermodels, Inc is ahead on points at the end of the campaign, then the detective agency is successful and the Hero wins. Otherwise, Supermodels Inc goes bankrupt and the Villain wins.
