I love the superhero game Heroclix. Like most of us who play the game, I also enjoy the comic books upon which the characters of the game are based.

So I've created a number of campaigns designed to simulate storylines with a traditional comic book feel to them. I'll be gradually posting the several dozen I've got ready over the next few weeks. After that, whenever I get around to creating a new campaign, I'll add that as well.

For the most part, the campaigns will be divided up into Marvel, DC and Mixed Universe. There will be a few single scenario entries as well.

If I can figure out how to manage it, I'd like to allow other Heroclix fans to post their own campaign/scenario creations here as well.

JLA/Avengers first annual crossover

In the grand tradition of the classic JLA/JSA crossovers we begin with a Mixed Universe meeting between the Justice League and Avengers.
The two teams have gotten together for a friendly meeting to compare notes and get to know each other better.
However the meeting is interrupted by a mysterious being who sends them on a mission to rescue various heroes who have been kidnapped and held prisoner by various teams of rogues plotting to use their powers and resources to rule the world.

The two teams are paired up and sent rescue missions:

Team one: Superman and the Sentinel of Liberty Captain America (The new World's Finest) are sent to a remote area (Choose a map) to rescue Uncle Sam. (Suggested villains: Bizarro, Crossbones and Dr. Polaris.)

Team two: Batman and Iron Man (The Tycoons) are sent to a different map to rescue The Blue Beetle (Suggested villains: Bane, Mandarin and Prometheus)

Team three: Thor and Wonder Woman (The Legends) are sent to a third map to rescue Shazam Captain Marvel. (Suggested Villains: Black Adam, Circe, Dr. Psycho and Loki)

Team four: Green Lantern and Hawkeye (Hal with a different archer buddy and a new green partner) are sent to a fourth map to rescue the Bulleteer. (Suggested Villains: Sinestro, Bullseye, and Merlyn.)

Team five: Flash, the Vision and the Scarlet Witch are sent to a fifth map to rescue
Mary Marvel. (Suggested villains: Gorilla Grodd, Ultron and Dr. Sivana.)

Team six: Martian Manhunter and Quicksilver are sent to a sixth map to rescue Nightshade. (Suggested villains: White Martian Generics, Grim Reaper, Zoom)

Team eight: Aquaman, Wonder Man and the Beast are sent to an Eighth map to rescue Captain Atom. (Suggested villains: Black Manta, Mastermind, Unus and the Blob, and Major Force.)

Team nine: Green Arrow, Black Canary and Black Widow are sent to a ninth map to rescue The Question. (Suggested villains: Count Vertigo, Cheshire, Ringmaster and Blockbuster)

Team thirteen: Steel, the Atom and the Hulk to go to a thirteenth map to rescue The Blackhawks (use all three). (Suggested villains: Professor Ivo, Chronos, Zzzax, Baron Strucker)

Team fourteen: Firestorm, Starfox, The Falcon and Pulsar to go to a fourteenth map to rescue Phantom Lady. (Suggested villains: Multiplex multiples, Baron Zemo, Radioactive Man, Living Laser and Deathstroke)

Team Fifteen: She Hulk, Tigra and the Red Tornado go to a Fifteenth map to rescue Max Mercury (Quality's Quicksilver). (Suggested Villains: T.O. Morrow, Titania and Absorbing Man)

Set up a section on the map to be used as the prison for the hero to be rescued. Block off any openings with barriers of some sort. Imprisoned heroes may not be used until the rescuing heroes have breached the prison. If a hero is not powerful enough to successfully destroy a wall of the prison they must physically touch a section of the prison where it will be assumed they are equipped with a device that enables them to unlock a door. One villain must stay posted as a guard for the prisoner and can only engage the rescuers if they get within six spaces from the prison unless they have a ranged attack.
Prisoners are free to aid their rescuers in a fight once their prison has been breached.

Later I will assign villains for each scenario.

If the villain teams successfully prevent a rescue they must engage a successful team of rescuers until either the heroes have rescued everybody or the villains have defeated every hero.
