Fandral the Dashing; Hogun the Grim; Volstagg the Voluminous. The Warriors Three--adventures who fight side-by-side to defend Asgard; to promote justice; and, by golly, to just have some fun!!!!
Now you can follow the Warriors Three through a series of adventures both on Asgard and on Earth.
This campaign is for two players. One player will employ the Warriors Three in each scenario, plus some guest stars designated for each battle. The other player will use the various bad guys and villains the Warriors Three encounter. Heretofore, the two players will be refered to as the Hero and the Villain, respectively.
FEAT CARDS: Neither player may use ICWO or Lazarus Pit. Otherwise, Feat Cards may be used freely. The same Feat Cards need not be used in each scenario.
BFC: A Battlefield Condition card is designated for each scenario. This card may NOT be cancelled.
VICTORY: Keep a running total of Victory Points throughout the campaign.
SCENARIO #1: Border Patrol
The Warriors Three are taking part in a patrol on the borders of Asgard when they encounter some enemies.
SCENARIO SIZE: 500 points.
SET-UP: Roll for first player and choose sides normally.
MAP: The First Player chooses any outdoor map that does not include modern-looking buildings. For instance, the Park Map or the Japanese Gardens map would be acceptable.
TEAMS: The Hero uses the Warriors Three, plus Sif OR Balder, plus any number of Asgardian Warriors and/or Valkeries.
The Villian uses any combination he wishes of Asgardian bad guys: Ulik, Rock Trolls, Fire Demons, Fenris, Surter, Hela, Loki, Entrantress, Executioner, Lorelia.
BFC: The ground around the battlefield is broken and uneven. The Debris BFC is in effect.
SCENARIO LENGTH: 12 rounds. After this, Thor shows up with reinforcements and the bad guys are routed. But the Victory Point total will show whether or not the Warriors Three acquited themselves well before this and will thus effect the final victory.
SCENARIO #2: A Night on the Town
After that rather nasty fight, the Warriors Three need some down time. Granted leave by Odin, they head off to New York City. While barhopping around Greenwich Village, they run into Valkerie and invite her along. Before long, they get a bit too tipsy and wander into a bar that is actually a supervillain hang-out. A brawl ensues.
SCENARIO SIZE: 500 points.
SET-UP: Roll for first player and set up normally.
MAP: First player chooses any urban map (except for the Metropolis map--this is NYC, after all).
TEAMS: The Hero uses the Warriors Three, Valkerie and (optionally) any other member of the Defenders.
The Villain uses any figure with the Sinister Syndicate OR Masters of Evil keyword. Exceptions: He may not use Nighthawk, who is a good guy in this time periord. Nor may he use Ultron or Baron Zemo, neither of whom are likely to be hanging out in a bar downing beers with their fellow bad guys.
BFC: Everyone's been knockin' 'em back, so they aren't at their best in regards to planning ahead. The Poor Teamwork BFC is in effect.
SCENARIO LENGTH: 12 rounds. After this, the cops show up and toss everyone in the drunk tank.
SCENARIO #3: Community Service
The Warriors Three are sentenced to perform Community Service as a penalty for the Drunk and Disordely charges. They are sent to the East River docks to help load relief supplies onto a Doctors Without Borders ship.
Which is fortunate--since they happen to stumble across the fact that Doctors Without Borders has been infiltrated by SKRULLS!!!!!
SCENARIO SIZE: 300 points
TEAMS: The Hero uses just the Warriors Three this time.
The Villain uses any one version of Super Skrull plus any number of Skrull generics of all types. (SPECIAL: Any figure showing 2 or less damage on its first click gets the Armor Piercing Feat for free.)
SET-UP: Roll for first player and set up normally.
MAP: Use the Dockyard map.
BFC: No BFC card is in effect this scenario.
SCENARIO LENGTH: 10 rounds. After that, the FF and SHIELD arrive to round up the Skrulls.
SCENARIO #4: Fencing Contest
Before ther Warriors Three head home for Asgard, Valkerie invites Fandral to participate in a fencing contest that is being held to raise money for charity. Hogun and Volstagg come along to cheer their friend on. Also participating in the event it the Black Knight.
But just has the contest is about to begin, several sword-wielding villains and their minions arrive to prove THEY are the best.
SCENARIO SIZE: 600 points
TEAMS: The Hero gets the Warriors Three, Valkerie (he must use the same version he used in Scenario #2) and the Black Knight. He may also use any number of Gotham City cops, who here represent New York's Finest who are working security at the contest.
The Villain gets Taskmaster, Silver Samuria, any number of Hand Ninjas and any number of figures from the Indy set who are holding swords (representing members of Taskmaster's latest henchmen class who he has specially trained and equipped for this fight.) Any Marvel villians who carry swords not listed here may also be included.
SET-UP: Roll for first player and set up normally.
MAP: Use the Arena map.
BFC: Everyone wants to prove that they're the best in hand-to-hand combat: The Back Alley Brawl card is in effect.
SCENARIO LENGTH: 12 rounds. After that, the Avengers arrive and chase the bad guys away.
FINAL VICTORY: Total all victory points earned throughout the campaign. If the Hero is ahead, then the Warriors Three return to Asgard to find a hero's welcome awaiting them, after which they recieve the blessing of Odin himself.
If the Villain is ahead, then the Warriors Three slink back to Asgard with their metaphorical tails between their legs, knowing they have failed to uphold Asgardian honor.
