I love the superhero game Heroclix. Like most of us who play the game, I also enjoy the comic books upon which the characters of the game are based.

So I've created a number of campaigns designed to simulate storylines with a traditional comic book feel to them. I'll be gradually posting the several dozen I've got ready over the next few weeks. After that, whenever I get around to creating a new campaign, I'll add that as well.

For the most part, the campaigns will be divided up into Marvel, DC and Mixed Universe. There will be a few single scenario entries as well.

If I can figure out how to manage it, I'd like to allow other Heroclix fans to post their own campaign/scenario creations here as well.

Rally against Cthulhu

All right Kal has invited me to contribute to this so I'll give it a shot. You know me as readyeddy? on the Realms.

In this scenario you'll need any and all clix figures who have appeared in books set in WWII. This includes, the Invaders, JSA and any character who had stories about them during that time frame, hero or villain.
You will also need any and all Horrorclix figures based on H.P. Lovecraft's mythos. This would mean Cthulhu himself, as many Deep Ones, Mi-Gos, Shoggoths and Avatars of Cthulhu that you can get.

Always use maps with bodies of water.

In the first scenario the heroes will need Captain America, Bucky, All three available Blackhawks, five Howling Commandos to represent Nick Fury's team, Sgt. Rock and several Easy Co. Soldiers and medics including Four Eyes and Little Sure Shot if available. Now you can add the Haunted Tank. You should use the rookie Kuranes from Horrorclix if available as well.

The villains use The Red Skull (non cosmic cube version please) Baron Zemo (Ultimates version) Baron Strucker and as many Deep Ones, Mi-Gos and Shoggoths as it takes to balance the points.

The Nazi leaders have entered into an unholy alliance with Cthulhu and
Cap, Rock and Blackhawk (all on special assignment) have rooted them out.)

The survivors of this battle get to move on to join the participants of part 2.

Part 2.
If the heroes win, they contact the Invaders (Sub-Mariner, The Human Torch, Toro, Spitfire and Union Jack) who will recruit The Thin Man, The Blazing Skull and Citizen V to aid them. If no one survived the first skirmish, these heroes arrive to avenge them. If the rookie Kuranes has fallen, he returns here as the exp version.

If the villains win, the survivors rush to join this group of villains to advance their nefarious plans. Baron Blood aided by a number of vampire lackeys as well as any Lovecraft monsters you'll need to balance point cost. For giggles you could include the exp Nosferatu (representing Count Orlock from the film "Nosferatu") from Horrorclix to add to the vampire side. It's up to you. Now you can just use Dracula and Vampire generics.

As before survivors of this battle move on to part three.

Part 3.
Heroes will consist of the Superman, Batman (either version) and Wonder Woman figures from the origins set. You will also use Lobster Johnson vet or LE, Hellbaby, Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady, Vigilante, Aquaman, Plastic Man,(Jack Cole rules) Sargon, Max Mercury, Johnny Quick, The Crimson Avenger, (use rookies when possible.)

Villains consist of the Toyman, icons Cheetah, the Joker,Scarecrow, Two Face, Professor Hugo Strange, and Penguin (rookies all three) and more Lovecraft monsters.

Survivors move on.
Part 4 brings in The Marvel Family vs Dr. Sivana, Mr. Mind, Black Adam and an assortment of Lovecraft Monsters.

Part 5.

Heroes entering here will be the JSA; Starman, Sandman, the Jay Garrick Flash, Alan Scott Green Lantern, Wildcat, The Atom (Al Pratt), Mr. Terrific (Terry Sloane), Hawkman, Black Canary, Dr. Fate (half helmet version), The Specter (non collossal), and rookie versions of Hourman and Dr. Midnite. King Kuranes should be used now. If other Kuranes versions survived they get switched out.

Villains include; Vandal Savage, Per Degaton, Solomon Grundy, the Icicle, The Ultrahumanite and a mix of Lovecraft monsters.

If the heroes survive they move on to the final battle vs Great Cthulhu himself aided and abetted by a few Deep Ones, Mi-Gos, etc.

If the Villains win then it's curtains for Earth as we know it as Great Cthulhu will rule the world.
